TAME IMPALA’s Half Full Glass of Wine music video

I miss rock songs that are this good, don’t you?  Honestly, when was the last time a guitar riff made your head nod?  Black Keys and anything involving Jack White are keeping effects pedal wonderment alive and well, no doubt, but Australia’s Tame Impala kills it with Half Full Glass of Wine.  Half speed, double riffing magic. Ethereal vocals but not too, too out there – just enough to make you want to dance around barefoot in the mud with a “cigarette” in your hand.

And after having that “cigarette”, or maybe second one, watch the music video.  Trippy yet tasteful video by Special Problems feels like the first time I saw the video for Fell in Love with a Girl by the White Stripes, directed by Michel Gondry.  In general, I’m a fan of any music video that carries the same cadence visually as it does rhythmically, but this video scores exceptionally well in my book.
