Augment Reality with FLARToolkit

Augmented Reality is on some other s**t. It fractures the line between the real and virtual worlds, allowing for a new breed of art/tech creativity. It uses real-world information (usually footage captured via webcam) to interact with computer-generated graphics in real time. Check-ch-check-check-check-ch-check it out, what-wha-what-what-what’s it all about :

Want to play? Yeah, word. Me too. If you have a webcam, download and print the marker and play away.

And for those that speak geek, we love you, and you should cop this: FLARToolKit (an AS3 port of the Open Source library ARToolKit) will let you detect a marker from an input image and calculate the camera position in 3D space. Use it with a 3D engine of your chouse and build your own Augmented Reality applications. Don’t forget to thank Japanese coder Saqoosha for the toolkit.
